Churchill Lightning Protection operates as a specialist division within Churchill Specialist Contracting Ltd employing upwards of 50 full time staff.
The department is staffed by time served vastly experienced and consummate engineers working under the umbrella of the companies UKAS OHSAS 18001 & ISO 9001 LRQA quality systems. All directly employed site engineers are qualified to a minimum NVQ level 2 industry standard an achievement unrivalled in our sector.
The division provides the whole range of services inclusive of but not limited to the design, supply, installation, commissioning, test & inspection and maintenance of both lightning protection systems and specialist earthing systems.
The above range of services is further complemented by the option of calling on Churchills specialist access division to assist with cost saving and often beneficial safe access solutions where there is a requirement when working on tall structures.
Our design team have obtained third party accreditation via ATLAS that further confirms their understanding and competence in delivering design solutions in accordance with BS EN 62305 2006 “Protection Against Lightning”.
All projects are carried out in accordance with the current Codes of Practice including the European standard BS EN 62305: 2006 “Protection Against Lightning” and BS 7430 “Earthing”.
In addition to a conventional Faraday cage type installation Churchill are recognised, approved designers and installers of the “Pulsar” ESE system of lightning protection that conforms to the requirements of a European code, namely the French code of practice NFC17-102. 1995.
