Next week will see work commencing on the refurbishment of the forge furnace chimney at Sheffield Forgemaster as part of the re-commissioning of the furnace.
The work will involve the chimney being dismantled using two mobile cranes, over platting works, bolt replacement, refurbishment of all connecting flanges, removal of the redundant gantry and ladder and the preparation and painting of the entire structure.
