Accreditation to the National Specialist Assessment Centre Churchill Steeplejacks UK ltd are awarded accreditation to the National Specialist Assessment Centre to provide NVQ Level 2 & 3 for Steeplejacks & Lightning Conductor Engineers

At present the sector has very limited capacity for undertaking OSAT assessment for Steeplejack & Lightning Protection NVQ level 2 and currently no availability for NVQ Level 3. This represents a less than ideal situation for our sector so in an attempt to improve the current situation Churchill Steeplejacks are pleased to announce that we have been accredited to the National Specialist Assessment Centre and are now in a position to offer fellow member and non member companies NVQ Level 2 & 3 assessment for both Steeplejacks & Lightning Protection via the OSAT (On-Site Assessment route).
Initially this offer will operate on a first come first served basis and will be aimed at individuals with at least two years industry experience for obtaining NVQ Level 2 and a minimum of five years experience for obtaining NVQ Level 3. In relation to cost Bircham Newton currently apply a fee of £1800.00 for each candidate signed up via the OSAT route which is based on three visits to assess an individual, initially we will apply the same assessment format at a reduced rate of £1500.00 per candidate payable in three instalments of £500.00 per person per visit, as with the current Bircham Newton arrangement a GB Construction Skills Grant fee will be refundable upon achievement.
The above quoted fees do not include a £250.00 admin fee recently imposed by NSAC and applicants are reminded of the recent 15% reduction in the amount claimable back via the GB Construction Skills Grant upon achievement.
